Jon Sarkesian Architects,
P.C. is recognized for both design excellence and its creative
approach to design-oriented problem solving. The group’s special

The firm specializes in
commercial, residential, multi-family and restaurant/ hospitality
projects. The majority of the firm’s commercial work includes retail
stores and restaurants, while its residential creations range from
historic renovations and additions to various styles of new
construction. Jon Sarkesian Architects have a special flair for
turning dated, mundane residences into aesthetically pleasing
family-friendly homes. The firm’s residential projects have been
featured in both Birmingham and Grosse Pointe AIA House Tours. Jon
Sarkesian Architects has won numerous awards for its commercial and
residential designs including the 1995 Supermarket of the Year Award
for Vic’s World Class Market in Novi, and the 2004 Beautification
Award for a new residence in the Village of Beverly Hills.
Jon Sarkesian Architects is
responsible for the design of several well-known Detroit area
establishments. Among them is all of the Vic’s World Class Markets,
Bright Ideas Furniture in Royal Oak, The Great Baraboo Brewing Company
in Clinton Township, the Tennis & Golf Company in Royal Oak, the Nino Salvaggio International Market Place in Troy, Andiamo’s Lakeside
Bistro in St. Clair Shores, Woodruff’s Supper Club in Royal Oak (now
called Oak City Grill), the Ventura Lounge at Weber’s Inn in Ann
Arbor, and Rainbow Recreation in South Lyon Township. Among the
firm’s out-of-state projects is the Tanger Factory Outlets renovation,
Sanibel, FL and Vistas on the Beach Hotel, St. Pete Beach, FL.
Prior to establishing his
own firm in 1989, Sarkesian was on the architectural teams for such
award-winning projects as Trapper’s Alley in Greek Town; Detroit,
Michigan and the South Quad Dormitory Dining Room renovations at the
University of Michigan. The firm’s work has also been featured in
publications such as Better Homes & Garden’s Renovation Ideas
Magazine, Place Magazine, The Detroit Free Press, The Detroit News,
The Observer and Eccentric Newspapers, Royal Oak Mirror Newspaper,
Store Equipment & Design Magazine, Chain Store Age Magazine, and the
